Kampong Cham Province:

A Holy Mass to celebrate the Feast of the Three Archangels—Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael—was held on the evening of Tuesday, September 29, 2021, at the Kampong Cham City Parish, located on Preah Ang Duong Street, Village 1, Sangkat Veal Vong, Kampong Cham City. The Mass was presided over by Bishop Bruno Cosme, Apostolic Prefect of the Kampong Cham Prefecture, and attended by priests, religious sisters, and a small number of the faithful.

In his homily, Bishop Bruno Cosme clearly explained to the faithful: "After listening to the Gospel reading, each of us always desires to act like the apostles of Jesus, or like the angels, and to be His witnesses in order to receive the Good News and live closely with Him."

He continued: "Today (the Feast of the Archangels), we gather to commemorate our Archangels, who always help, protect, and care for us. Angels are the ones who are always near, listening to His voice and seeing Jesus at all times. Angels are God's collaborators, whom He sends to help all of us."

The Bishop highlighted an important point: "In the Gospel text, we see that Nathanael saw Jesus and proclaimed Christ. At that time, Jesus told Nathanael, 'You will see greater things than that.' Therefore, in our lives as Christians too, we want to be direct witnesses of Christ like the Archangels, who always deliver the message directly from Christ coming down from heaven for us, and who help us to praise God."

The Prefect of Kampong Cham added: "We are fortunate because God always seeks every means to proclaim the Good News and to keep us near Him... Just as God made a promise to Nathanael, He also promises us that, 'later, we will see His other works more clearly.' Thus, as priests, sisters, and faithful, let us be prepared to receive something new from Jesus Christ through any unexpected circumstance."
